Our locations

Redwood operates in North America and Europe, building a battery ecosystem that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling.

Creating a circular battery supply chain across the US and Europe will be critical to driving the energy transition.

100 GWh

Battery materials produced

We will eventually produce over 100 GWh of battery materials across our sites, enough to produce more than one million EVs annually.

3,000

Headcount growth

Redwood will hire over 3,000 new people across our campuses.

1,500

Campus acreage

Redwood is building on over 1,500 acres between its Tahoe and Carolina campuses.

Sparks, Nevada

Located in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, Redwood’s Tahoe Campus spans 900 acres with operations across reuse, recycling, refining, and materials production.

Charleston, South Carolina

Redwood’s Carolina Campus, set on over 600 acres, will recycle, refine, and manufacture battery materials. With an investment of $3.5 billion over the next decade, the facility aims to generate over 1,500 jobs, bolstering the supply chain for battery materials in the U.S. through innovative recycling and refining processes.

San Francisco, California

We recently opened a 15,000 square foot research and development center in San Francisco, equipped with state-of-the-art lab facilities. Located in the Design District, minutes from Caltrain and other transit centers, this space primarily supports R&D for Redwood Energy.

Bremerhaven, Germany

Redwood Germany is equipped to recycle 10,000 tonnes of batteries annually, handling various lithium-ion chemistries and form factors. Its strategic location adjacent to the Bremerhaven Port enables efficient transportation and recycling of electric vehicle packs and batteries from across the European continent.
